Full Description
No 1-11 Bath Street consists of a row of six cottages built 1903 by John Douglas as the architect and owner. They are of squared irregular blocks of rubble sandstone with grey-green slate roofs. Each cottage is two storeys with the upper floor partly in the steeply pitched roof. The main ridge runs parallel with the front. They are built in the Germanic style with. From left to right, a front gable, dormer gable, a projecting turret, a paired turret and a corner turret.
No 13 consists of a small town house, also built 1903 by John Douglas, of hard red brick with panels of grey polygonal random rubble stonework and a green slate roof. It is two storeys, joined by a yard archway to No 11. The main block has round turret left and octagonal quasi-turret, right, the first floor is jettied on terracotta corbels. (1)
