A small amount of medieval pottery dating to between the thirteenth and sixteenth centuries, in addition to some glazed floor tile fragments, were recovered as residual material in post medieval contexts excavated in St Werburgh St. in 2012, in the area known locally as the 'Werburgh Street Dip' (1).
