Full Description
No 31 Eastgate Street is a stone undercroft, currently in use as a shop, built in around 1888. The undercroft is primarily sandstone with some pebble dashing on the facade. The interior of the undercroft is entirely covered. (1)
Lawson notes in 1958 that a stone arch was depicted in this undercroft spanning the footway but was since replaced in brick. (3)
