Full Description
No 5-7 Watergate Street consists of two undercrofts, currently in use as shops, and believed to date to the medieval period. No 5 Watergate Street has a brick barrel vault set on coursed sandstone blocks that appear to be 14th-15th century in style. The stonework begins approximately 8.5m from the street frontage and there is a 19th century extension to the rear. No walls were visible in No 7 Watergate Street, however, and dating is only approximate. (1)
