Full Description
Archaeological investigations carried out to the rear of 5-7 Foregate Street in 1991 identified evidence of an ash-filled pit containing quantities of post medieval material including pottery, clay pipe and brick fragments. The pit was identified in trench 1 of the excavations cutting the upper fills of the medieval City Ditch. (1)
