Full Description
Archaeological investigations along the footpath at Bridge Street identified a number of features of post medieval date. Two areas of investigation were carried out beneath the footpath in front of the Rows between 49-55 Bridge Street East and 46-54 Bridge Street west.
Along the western side of the street, a number of post holes [context 128, 105, 134, 142, 144] were identified, however given the limited nature of the excavations and the relatively limited material culture recovered from the post holes, it proved impossible to ascertain the form and function of these features.
