Full Description
Evidence of several wall foundations at the former Grosvenor Garage site were recorded during emergency archaeological investigations in 1964. The work was carried out during the construction of the Grosvenor Shopping Centre and monitored by D.F. Petch of the Grosvenor Museum. Trench 5, excavated in the former garage identified the foundations of several walls with evidence of later stone robbing. No dating evidence for these features is supplied although they do not appear to be Roman in origin. (1)
