Summary
Evidence of post medieval demolition debris was recorded during archaeological investigations at 9-13 Northgate Street in 2004. The site had been previously redeveloped in the late 19th century causing significant modern intrusion into the below ground archaeological evidence. In consequence, the excavated trenches showed a high degree of disturbance.

Evidence of post medieval demolition debris was recorded during archaeological investigations at 9-13 Northgate Street in 2004. The site had been previously redeveloped in the late 19th century causing significant modern intrusion into the below ground archaeological evidence. In consequence, the excavated trenches showed a high degree of disturbance. (1)
