Full Description
Archaeological investigations in the car park of Goldsmith House in 2002 recorded evidence of post medieval stone robbing of an earlier Roman building (CHER ) in trench 12. A cut feature [Context 140] included traces of medieval and post medieval pottery and was interpreted as a robber trench containing small quantities of Roman masonry at its base. (1)
