A small quantity of residual Roman pottery and ceramic building material was recovered during archaeological investigations in advance of the construction of a new canopy shelter at the Roodee Racecourse in 2011. The finds included several sherds of Roman local orange ware pottery and several fragments of roof tile. (1)
