Full Description
A substantial block of masonry was recovered during excavations on the north side of Pepper Street in 1941. Although originally believed to be a modern intrusion into the Roman structural remains (1) the feature has been subsequently suggested to be Roman, perhaps associated with the Roman baths at Bridge Street (2)
