Full Description
A possible beam slot or post hole was encountered during archaeological investigations at St Martin’s Way in 2010. The excavations, carried out by Earthworks Archaeology, identified the feature in trench 2 sealed by the intervallum road surface (CHER 8280/6). Although no dating evidence was recovered from the fill, the stratigraphic sequence would indicate an early Roman date. (1)
