Find Spot record 8088/25 - Roman finds from Hamilton Place

Please read our .

Summary

A small amount of Roman building material mainly comprising fragments of roof tile was recovered during archaeological investigations at Hamilton Place. The material was recovered from later post medieval features. Residual finds usually occur as a result of soil disturbance when the cutting of one feature removes finds from a lower and therefore earlier layer and re-deposits them closer to the surface.
