Full Description
Sealed by what was interpreted as agricultural soils dating to the medieval period, were a series of cut features of various form and function, found during 2010 excavations at the Frodsham St. car park (1).
These features were ephemeral and may have been small gullies or similar features, but they contained exclusively Roman period ceramics and the earliest of the sequence (truncated by other, similar features) were cut into the natural clay subsoil at this location (1).
