Full Description
A brickfield depicted on nineteenth and early twentieth century Ordnance Survey maps. Other than the kiln, structures seem fairly transient, different buildings are shown on each edition (1, 2 & 3).
Site now abandoned. The aerial photograph seems to show the footings to some structures which were not depicted on the Ordnance Survey maps (4).
Not depicted on the Tithe map for Pownall Fee (5).
A number of half covered brick features were observed. They do not correspond with the features depicted on the historic maps (6).
