Summary

A seemingly drystone tower built sometime between 1850 and 1873. The tower may have formed part of a larger building or structure which was demolished soon after construction. Full Description

The structure is within the grounds of Tower Hill House. The Tower appears on the 1870 OS map, the exact date and original function unknown. The Tower, a notable, well known landmark located in a prominent position on Tower Hill.

The building is not depicted on this map.

This map depicts the Tower. It is seemingly located on the eastern corner of a larger building or structure to the immediate south of Tower Hill Farm.

A square tower of seemingly drystone construction. False merlons make it appear crenelated but there is no obvious parapet. The central false merlon on the road side bears a plaque which reads "Tower Hill". A possible folly built to reference the placename?
