Building record 5645/2 - Stables and Coach House at Hinderton Hall

Please read our .

Summary

The stables and coach house are now in use as offices. They are built of pink sandstone and have a steep pitched, patterned slate roof with sandstone parapets to the end gables. The southernmost coach house with lower ridge may be later (it fits awkwardly against main stable building). There is gothic style detailing including mullioned windows and gables and quatrefoil pitchhole openings to first floor hayloft and gable. The complex includes an interesting gothic dog kennel to south gable, probably the only “Waterhouse” designed dog kennel.
