Summary

A sea wall, approximately 1km long formed of Cheshire sandstone blocks, presenting a battered curved face to the seaside and a flat topped coping forming a kerb to The Parade. The sea wall was constructed in four sections between 1810 and 1849.

A sea wall, approximately 1km long formed of Cheshire sandstone blocks, presenting a battered curved face to the seaside and a flat topped coping forming a kerb to The Parade. The sea wall was constructed in four sections between 1810 and 1849.

The Watch House to the Donkey Stand built c.1810.
The Donkey Stand to Prospect House built c.1825.
Prospect House to the South Slip built c.1830.
The Watch House to the North Slip (Boathouse Lane) built c.1849.

Much of the face of the wall is now concealed by silt and marsh grass.

Depicts the sea wall. Boat slips are located at the northern and southern ends of the wall, and opposite the Watch House.
