Summary

Eleanor School was built as a Church School alongside the Church of St John Evangelist in around 1880. Its design is in the manner of a Victorian "Gothic" church, with porch, steep pitched slated roof with decorative terracotta red ridge tiles. Stone parapet to gables, rusticated coursed stone walls with Ashlar splayed plinth. Unusual pyramidal bell tower. Name of school inscribed in decorative panel to spandrel of end gable. No longer in use as a school.

Description
