Full Description
White Hall Farmhouse is early C18 with early C19 alterations. It is built of coursed squared buff sandstone rubble and has a kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge and 1 gable stone chimney. It is rectangular plan with continuous outshut and a 2-storey, 3-bay front. The end bays have 12-pane sashes under plain stone lintels with a similar lintel over central C19 board door. Right end gable has 2, 2-light tall chamfered stone mullions (one blocked, one with mullion missing) under rubble hood moulds. The brick lean-to to right and later additional range to rear is a farm workers cottage with a 3-light, small-pane iron casement below.
