Summary

18th century ha-ha retaining wall. It consists of a rubble sandstone revetment wall on the east side of the ha-ha ditch. At intervals, projecting rubble stones act as steps and it is breached at its centre by a causeway with a wooden gate. This acted as barrier between the west edge of the gardens and the deer park beyond.

18th century ha-ha retaining wall. It consists of a rubble sandstone revetment wall on the east side of the ha-ha ditch.
