SJ 98 SW ADLINGTON C.P. MILL LANE (South Side)
3/17 Ha-ha wall 15m west of west front of Adlington Hall, and running parallel to it to Wilderness garden for 150m.
GV II
Ha-ha retaining wall: C18. Rubble sandstone revetment wall on east side of ha-ha ditch. At intervals, projecting rubble stones act as steps and it is breached at its centre by a causeway with a wooden gate. This acted as barrier between the west edge of the gardens and the deer park beyond. Listed for group value only.
