Monument record 5038 - Later Neolithic at Oversley Farm

Excavation at Oversley Farm 1997-1998 in advance of runway expansion at Mancester Airport

The Later Neolithic at Oversley Farm comprised evidence for at least one small rectangular timber structure, which was on the site and of the same dimensions as the early neolithic structure (CHER 5037). In addition this structure also had two possible hearths and externally there is a related pit and the hollow way. The site also produced ceramic artefacts indicative of domestic activity.
