Full Description
The cottages are situated next to the Chester & Crewe Railway (completed 1840 1 ). The railway serves a predominantly rural population as well as a quite substantial works to its immediate north-east. (2) The Station Cottages may have been constructed to house a labour force required to work and maintain the station building and the associated railway buildings that may have existed.
