A medieval road mentioned in 15th century documents which ran from Platts Lane at Bruera to Eaton Boat, a ferry across the Dee. The creation of the Buerton Approach, a drive leading to Eaton Hall, resulted in the closure of this road. The road is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs dating from the 1940’s and other photos held by the HER. Aerial photographs dating from 1999-2000 suggest that this feature may have been ploughed out in some places.
