Description

Following on from an archaeological desk-based assessment (Matrix Archaeology, 2012, ECH5448), an earthwork survey was undertaken on land at Old Mill Road, Sandbach, Cheshire for which outline planning permission has been granted, for a residential development for up to 200 dwellings. The Site is situated c. 1 km to the south of Sandbach and comprises a single parcel of land to the east of the A534 Wheelock Bypass. Two areas of broad ridge and furrow were identified within the Site and one area of straighter, narrower rig. (1)
