Site Event/Activity record ECH7067 - Geophysical Survey Report: Land South of Radway Green Business Park, Crewe

A magnetometer survey of 25 ha of land south of Radway Green Business Park, Crewe, was undertaken in 2022. It recorded numerous magnetic anomalies of possible archaeological interest. Discrete ditch-like anomalies, linear trends, pit-like responses and areas of increased magnetic response were visible in the dataset, mainly concentrated in Areas 1 and 4. A number of uncertain responses were also detected, the majority are likely to be due to modern agricultural or natural processes. Several former field boundaries were visible along with ploughing and land drains. (1)
