Description

No change since Tom Clare’s survey in 1972, disturbance to south eastern extremity of mound. There was no sign of any ditch mentioned in 1962 (see 2). However, the depression is caused by an old field boundary bank to the north east of the barrow. Situated on summit of hill, a north – south ridge falling steeply to east and west. Area around occupied by pasture. Record sheet is dated 04/11/1977 and lists the fieldworkers as RJ Brown, AJ Fergusson and L Hawkins. A further site visit was made by AJ Fergusson and L Hawkins on 07/03/1978 when the site was photographed. Plan and profile survey dated 17/08/1978 and undertaken by Peter J Wagstaff and LD.
