Description
The Building Recording was to be undertaken for two small structures thought to relate to Second World War fuel storage facility. One of the structures, a circular building, was demolished before the fieldwork took place. The surviving structure, a single storey brick structure situated at the southern entrance to the site, seems most likely to have been constructed as a control room for a weighbridge associated with a sand-pit, worked from about 1910 to 1970.
