Description

Heritage statement produced to accompany planning and listed building consent applications for the change of use and alterations to a group of redundant farm buildings at Aston Park Farm in order to create seven dwellings. Includes brief description and photographs of the redundant farm buildings. Building A is a mid-18th century Threshing Barn, Building B is an early to mid-19th century Cattle Barn, and Building C is a late 19th century Cart Shed. The report identifies that the impact of the proposed scheme would be overwhelmingly beneficial. None of the works would cause harm, and the comprehensive programme of repairs and refurbishment would bring the buildings back into beneficial use and ensure their future sustainability. The works would also better reveal the significance of the curtilage buildings and the setting of the listed building. (1)
