Description

Watching brief maintained during the excavation of foundation trenches for new extensions to Whirley Hall, a grade II* listed building which dates from around 1670. Foundation reached a maximum depth of 1.5m though most trenches were no deeper than 0.6m. No feature of archaeological significance were found.
