Nexus Heritage carried out an archaeological Watching Brief in 2011 on land at Havannah Mill, Eaton, Congleton. The work was undertaken in support of development of 35 dwellings with associated parking, and landscaping. The archaeological investigations commissioned encountered significant archaeological remains dating from the post-medieval and Industrial periods. The remains found belong to Windsor Mill (leat, wheel pit, engine house, boiler house), one of the Havannah Mills, and its associated housing, being Windsor Row and the southern side of the New Street terrace, now Havannah Lane.
