Description
A programme of reclamation work carried out by the Engineering Service at Cheshire County Council on the site of Nantwich Gas Works on St Anne's Lane. The removal of contaminated material took place between early 1987 and May 1988. The total funding available was insufficient to completely remove all contaminated materials. Therefore the main efforts were directed at those areas where building development was anticipated. Report includes a plan of the areas excavated and re-filled.
