Description
Watching brief carried out during the installation of a surface water drain at Commonhall Street in Chester, given the sensitive nature of the remains in the area it was believed advisable to maintain an archaeological presence during the works.
The most significant feature recorded was two courses of sandstone blocks including re-used architectural fragments however as they lay at the base of the trench they were not examined in any detail
