Description

Watching brief carried out during the installation of a new basement for an escalator and during the upgrading of the Grosvenor Shopping Centre entrance. A single trench 3.65m by 4.1m was observed near the project location of the interval tower. Limited evidence of the interval tower was noted along with a section of the rampart (1). Saxon finds were also reported (3).
