Description

In 1980, following evidence of subsidence at the colonnade and its substructure connecting the Cheshire Regimental Museum to Thomas Harrison's central building at the Castle site, a watching brief over excavations to inspect the foundations was undertaken (1). Below the foundation, the Castle ditch was observed (1).
