Description

In March 1976 work for the foundations at 28 and 30 King St., two semi-detatched seventeenth century cottages were monitored by the Grosvenor Museum (1). At No. 30, after removing the original foundations for the west wall of an extension, large irregular sandstone blocks were observed running obliquely across the trench. The masonry may be medieval (1).
