Description

Substantial concrete foundations recorded at the junction of Watergate and Nun's Road (1). This represented the northwest angle of a Roman building, and was found by Corporation workmen employed in cutting off a portion of the corner of the junction of Nun's Rd. and Watergate St. The building was reported to have been about nine feet below the surface (2).
