Description
This event was a watching brief, monitoring groundworks associated with the development of a new hotel on the site of the former car park at Chester Racecourse. The watching brief identified the remains of buildings and roads that existed in the area prior to their demolition in the 1960s, in addition to seventeenth century deposits that may represent attempts to reclaim this area.
