Description
A watching brief was maintained during the construction of a pipeline by United Utilities between Dunham Tank (Greater Manchester) and Knutsford. At locations of particular potential more detailed work was carried out, including geophysical survey and trial trenching on the line of the Roman road to the north of the Bollin (Greater Manchester) and a strip and record exercise on a series of cropmarks in the vicinity of Rostherne village
