Description

An archaeological strip, map and recording exercise, and a watching brief monitoring groundworks at the site of the Victoria Infants school on Cheyney Rd., Chester (1). The development comprised a new building immediately to the north of the current Victoria Infants School with associated car parking and landscaping. The site produced material ranging from the Roman to Modern periods. Evidence for the footprint to the former Parish Hall building and associated floors was also identified.
