Description
Watching brief during construction of new dwelling in order to check for traces of Roman road between Chester and Manchester (CHER 844/1/0). Chosen foundartion method of mini piles rather than strip foundations meant inly limited topsoil stripping and exposure of underlying strata . Therefore, little opportunity to check for evidence of road.
