Description
This event represents Phase 5 of an archaeological impact assessment carried out in October 2002 at the west end of Hunter St., Chester, part of the larger Northgate Development Scheme. The evaluation was comprised of a single machine cut trench to assess the depth and width of an existing service trench at the west end of Hunter St. that could be reused in the new development and minimise archaeological disturbance. The existing duct had been cut through archaeology thought to extend to the Roman period.
