Description
Visit to inspect the strip foundations for an an extension (c 3m by 5m) on southern side of Alvanley Hall. Trenches excavated to a depth of c 1m. And recvealed natural sand below the topsoil. A 19th-century brick-lined well was revealed in one of the trenches and was capped as part of the development work.
