Description

A watching brief was carried out during topsoil stripping for an extension to the working area of the Forest Hill Quarry at Sandiway, Cheshire. A series of redundant field boundaries was identified corresponding to features visible in the OS map od 1882. A small black chert convex end scraper typical of a late Mesolithic date was also recovered from the site.
