Description
A survey of the floors of the nave and south transept of Chester Cathedral, the second element in a programme of archaeological investigation and evaluation carried out in preparation for a restoration of the floors and the installation of an underfloor heating system. Carried out between December 1995 and January 1996, the floors were surveyed at 1:20 scale, and a catalogue (combined with documentary research) of the grave slabs was also undertaken. (1)
