Description
Archaeological watching brief undertaken 26-27th April 1994 during groundworks carried out as part of the construction of a two-storey extension to Holford Hall. A former south wing to the west range of the hall was identified dating to the 17th or 18th century. A general deposit of clay pre-dating the present hall was also recorded and possibly represents a platform built from clay excavated from the moat and may be medieval in date. (1)
