Description
An evaluation designed to assess the archaeological potential of land along the line of a proposed mineral extraction site access road off Fishpool Lane, Delamere, Cheshire. The evaluation consisted of a desktop survey of available evidence coupled with the excavation of a sample of the proposed road corridor. The access road runs immediately east of the 'Seven Lows' Bronze Age barrow cemetery, and very close to the eastern edge of one of the better preserved earthen burial mounds. The evaluation indicated that archaeological remains lay within the area of the proposed access road .
