Description

About 1927, at a distance of c11.2m east of Eaton Road, a footing of rubble bedded into grey silt was found in cutting a trench in search of burials. The silt contained part of the rim of a mortarium dated to early second century. This site was situated c45m north of the footings found in 1929 (ECH2476).
