Description

Further excavations in Bolland's Court in 1959 recorded only limited archaeological evidence as modern cellaring had caused significant disturbance in the upper layers. An east-west aligned trench with a single post hole was recorded in two trenches, although dating evidence was limited, the pottery recovered suggested a Flavian date.
